[ISS] Crews Shelter in Soyuz As Space Debris Passes Station

The Expedition 30 crews sheltered in their respective Soyuz spacecraft today, 24th March 2012 at 06:38 UTC. As a piece of Cosmos satellite debris made it's closest approach to the station.<br /><br />After the debris successfully passed the station without incident the crews began procedures to enter back into the orbiting complex.<br /><br />This is the 3rd time in Station history a crew has had to shelter in their Soyuz spacecraft. Crews do this so they can undock from the station, if it is hit.
